In english, the prefix is actually hecto- which is a french corruption of the prefix you offer. While I agree that hecato- is more accurate [hektos means "sixth"], it will take an act of congress to undo this well-established linguistic error. Joe Webster 11:20, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
