- @A westman Sure, the words WF's going through are from Webster originally. They even have the
{{Webster 1913}}template on them. But Webster (a) didn't distinguish between Middle English anf Modern English, and (b) sometimes altered ("normalised") the spelling of words to match modern spelling conventions. Hence the requests for verification. This, that and the other (talk) 10:50, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
