The common root of grammar and glamour seems to be generally accepted, but I think my wording (copied below) can be much improved upon.
Etymology: From the Greek γράμμα (gramma), letter. Note that "grammar" and "glamour" both derive from the same word, relics of a time when being able to read and write was an arcane skill with a whiff of sorcery. So a scribe would have both be glamorous and have knowledge of grammar. Pol098 04:46, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
Engage actively with grammar
