It's in dictionary.com but just as the adverb form that goes with glossy. Is this a word? Can someone use it in a sentence? JillianE 05:05, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

How about: The knight's armour shone glossily against the horizon. The word is in the Random House Dictionary too (without a definition, just as a note under glossy), for what that's worth.--EncycloPetey 05:11, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I woke up this mornign and came up with "it shone glossily", which uses it but isn't very informative. I think I'm beginnign to see why writers are warned against adverbs. JillianE 14:04, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
