"Wig split" - Reference

[edit]

I first heard this term on first verse of the first track of The House Is Burning by Tennessee artist Isaiah Rashad.

"What am I s'posed to do outside but get rich?
Work too hard but boy, don't floss too hard get your wig split"

I didn't look for the meaning then, not until when I came across it again listening to a song "Vica Versa" by Pastor Troy. It went:

"Remenisin' on all the good and bad that I did
Bustin' caps and splittin' wigs"

That's when I went to Google for answers. Of course I'm not American; because these songs are American Rap/HipHop by genre and I'm a Nigerian. I find it fun learning new things.

I hope you found this helpful. @lumisage 102.67.11.9 13:56, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
