The Middle English hersum might directly be from Old English hȳrsum. ihersum (from OE ġehȳrsum) may have led to hersum and thus English hearsome?? (I do not know at this moment). Anglish4699 (talk) 03:17, 12 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

There was undoubtedly a falling together of Middle English hersum and ihersum so you could say that hearsome is also a descendants of this word ;) Leasnam (talk) 03:54, 13 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
