A search with four variants ("gee haw whimmy diddle" OR "gee-haw whimmy diddle" OR "gee haw whammy diddle" OR "gee-haw whammy diddle") [1] returns 905 straight Google hits [2], most of which are either selling the items, describing it, or promoting competitions. (Apparently it gets a fair bit of promotion in physics demonstrations.) There are seven Google Books hits for "gee haw whimmy diddle" [3].
