Old Polish or Middle Polish?

[edit]

If this word is from the 16th or 17th centuries, which is what it sounds like looking at the sources, then it's technically Middle Polish rather than Old Polish, but wictionary doesn't have Middle Polish as a separate language. Should Middle Polish words be counted as Old Polish then? I have no idea how decisions about what languages to count are made. Wpatena (talk) 19:05, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Wpatena This word is first attested in BJ Rkp. 778 III (475 MB; leaf 234, line -1: pigua gdula [pıgwʌ Gdulʌ]) in year 1437 (per SPJS) or circa 1425 or 1417±16 (per catolog). It is better to discuss Old/Middle Polish in Wiktionary:Beer parlour. —Игорь Тълкачь (talk) 11:10, 25 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
