Hey @PseudoSkull, sorry for forgetting your message. I don't have any prior knowledge about this. I don't see how it could possibly be an allusion to some guy who predates the speciation of Faroese and Danish, let alone the formation of their bastard child, but the English Wikipedia page reports and cites an etymology that I guess seems plausible enough.__Gamren (talk) 22:05, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
