I believe the meaning of this word coined on Hello Internet is distinct from the one used in the InfoWorld example.

InfoWorld is about copying software illegally; Hello Internet is about rehosting video content illegally; I have just added two more, one of which is about satellite TV signals. It seems the word just has the same broad sense as "piracy", i.e. copying without permission. Equinox ◑ 11:00, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
