- Did you mean to write passed? It's possible a few (or at least one) of the cites we've added really are for setiferous ... a fruit can be bristly too .... but I think we've certainly got at least three clear examples of the requested sense. (I see now that the text clearly has an f in the book about fruit, but it could still be a copyist's error.) —Soap— 14:13, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
