"Every second" for "every other" is uncommon in the US. Is it more common in Commonwealth speech?
- I don't know, but it can be extended to "every third", "every fourth", etc - are these used in the US? -- Paul G 13:35, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Every third, fourth etc. are definitely used in the US, but every other is much more common than every second. My impression is that every second is at least as common as every other elsewhere. Thus the query. -dmh 13:42, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
