Surely this should be person, place or object after which something is named?
Holland vs the Netherlands
[edit]The language Limburgish is named after the eponymous provinces in Belgium and Holland.
yikes.
Holland ≠ the Netherlands.
North Holland, and South Holland are both provinces in the Netherlands, and so is Limburg. ≈Sensorsweep (talk) 02:51, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- Strictly speaking, yes, but to an awful lot of English speakers, Holland is just another name for the Netherlands. For all of those people that's not a mistake, because they will understand it perfectly with the meaning intended. For the minority that knows the difference, though, it could cause confusion- so I suppose it needs to be corrected. Chuck Entz (talk) 05:04, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
