So its archaic
[edit]What word are we supposed to use now? I'm a bad writer looking for a word for someone with good stamina. This is a private project, so im ok with using "endurant" but want to enrich my vocab for its kwn sake. Thanks, Lollipop (talk) 01:23, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- This is a good question. The obvious one would be "enduring" but it just isn't used the same way (maybe "the enduring appeal of an old novel" but not "an enduring mammal"). Even after glancing at a thesaurus, the best I can think of is something like "stalwart", "robust", "tough", but these words tend to suggest surviving against repeated attacks from external agents rather than just having internal stamina. WT:ID might get your question more attention. Equinox ◑ 02:51, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Okay thank you. I'm satisfied with endurant for now though. Lollipop (talk) 17:44, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
