There are three on the cites page, but all for "ellisized" past tense. I'm not sure the lemma exists. Equinox ◑ 20:59, 29 September 2017 (UTC)

Does WT:CFI say the term has to be attested in its base form to be included? If so, I can't find where it does, but we could still have an entry at ellisized if ellisize fails to pass. Khemehekis (talk) 20:11, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Just for the record these are all for the past tense/past participle form- there's simply nothing on Google for the present/infinitive. That's understandable, since the phenomenon it refers to is from the past. There should at least be a usage note saying that it's not attested in the lemma form.

By the way: it's irrelevant for our purposes, but the term is based on a myth- all the staff at Ellis Island did was match people with names in the passenger manifest. If a name was changed, it happened somewhere else, not at Ellis Island. Chuck Entz (talk) 01:19, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
