My memory, and my dictionary, says the phrase is ducktail
But then I was young then, maybe that was a euphemsim. Because I can recall there being a DA haircut.
Also, my memory and my dcitionary tell me "the swept up hair at the back of the head where hair combed back on each side meets" --Richardb 08:54, 28 May 2005 (UTC)
