Hi. Might not "drum" also signify "foot" or "buried part of a pillar", as in Frederick Copleson's "A History of philosophy", Volume 1, page 25, "The earth is not a disc, but a short cylinder 'like the drum of a pillar'"? — This comment was unsigned.
