I'm not sure this etymology is correct or thorough enough. How does the doomsday book fit in, also spelled domesday book, and further back, "dom boc"? — Hippietrail 02:08, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

"doomsday book" would fit under the "combination" subheader, "domesday" is noted as a different spelling on the page. WritersCramp 09:18, 18 July 2005 (UTC)
