[edit]This entry would highly benefit from some example sentences, as I wouldn't have the first idea quite how to frame a sentence around this word (in any of the senses). Also, perhaps we should note the expression sense of the word as in:
Guy 1: "I'm so drunk I can't walk."
Guy 2: "Ditto!"
Certainly that's not covered under the noun sense, although it obviously derives from it. Atelaes 21:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
finger
[edit]I remember being taught in school that Italian for finger was ditto and that was the source of the English word. But it's apparently not true. I want to put that in there in case that is a widespread belief. Soap (talk) 17:49, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
