Sense 1 of discredit: “An act of discrediting or disbelieving”. Can this be verified?  --Lambiam 21:54, 17 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

There is a fairly common usage of "a discredit to" which is countable, but it is not "an act of discrediting or disbelieving". Rather it is an occurrence or the result of an occurrence that results in harm to someone's reputation. I think I will add it as a separate definition because there does seem to be some other countable usage, which might fit the challenged definition or a reworded version of it.
