Hebrew

[edit]

The Hebrew word for development as a process which happens without human planning is deriving from the intransitive verb of "להתפתח" (lehitpateakh) and is "התפתחות" (hitpatkhut), not "פיתוח" (pituakh), which derives from the transitive verb "לפתח" (lefateakh). Etymology

[edit]

We need an etymology for this very common word. ---> Tooironic 06:28, 13 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
