Etymology section decimated – why?
[edit]In this edit the extensive etymology section was decimated without any explanation. Could this be explained? __meco 16:28, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, I only just noticed this comment - you'd be betetr off leaving me a message on my talk page. The explanation is only that I was attempting to simplify the information and to make clear that the word is a combination of (deprecated template usage) dey and (deprecated template usage) -ery, which was rather obscured in the previous version. Interested readers can then follow the links to those two pages to see further etymology for the respective components. Widsith 14:35, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
