A group of people?

How can an -ism mean a group of people? Shouldn't it be the political philosophy of such a group? SemperBlotto 09:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia has since revised its views on the subject/term as it has many issues surrounding it. Namely that it's a conspiratorial thesis with no apparent evidence (it has evidence in so far that it's a rarefied academic term that's been somewhat hijacked by "cultural conservatives", and is currently acting as a catch-all used by the right to attack/accuse the progressive political movements of various social groups. --Jobrot (talk) 08:29, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

It is (or was) a real term people used, but if anyone says it nowadays it's probably in the derogatory/conspiracy sense. Marked that sense as rare and removed the rfv (maybe there's a better label for it, dunno). See wikipedia:Cultural marxism. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:14, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
