Talk:cruller
Possible Etymology
[edit]I have been told that this word comes from the Dutch word "krulle" meaning "twisted cake." Trying to find something to back up this etymology led me to an article from Food Network that gave the same history for the word. I was hoping someone else could shed some light on this. 70.192.13.62 06:00, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
I probably should have looked here first: Cruller - History and Origin (from Wikipedia). It gives the origin of the word as "early 19th century Dutch kruller, from krullen 'to curl.'" Can someone Please add this etymology in the appropriate way? 70.192.13.62 06:07, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
//how the heck do I add another language? Anyway: crulle in Hungarian is csöröge — This unsigned comment was added by 89.133.128.12 (talk).
