- (At the time of the RFV, the only definition was "a crucible or melting pot; a cruset".) After some digging, I was able to find several citations where this refers to a cruet in the sense of a condiment container, two where it refers to a cruet in the sense of a communion container, one mention of it where it means a cruet in the sense of a stand for the aforementioned condiment containers, and one cite where it refers to a cruset. I also found one or two where cravat is meant, and one where crevette is meant. - -sche (discuss) 09:03, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- I also found one pair of books (by the same group) and one mention where it means an apse or apsidal chapel at the east end of a church, especially a French church, which must be an error or variant of chevet.
