Challenging sense 2: "depressed" (long-term? in general?), distinct from the everyday sense 1: "sad because of a recent disappointment". Equinox ◑ 18:44, 30 April 2022 (UTC)

On second thought, I have cited this one. I am not totally convinced, but the cites I found do not have anything to do with recent disappointment. I still suspect that it is all one meaning, but should probably be "sad as a result of disappointment" without the word "recent". What do others think? Kiwima (talk) 00:04, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
RFV-resolved. I merged the two definitions. Kiwima (talk) 01:47, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
