Google: "define: confectioners' sugar." It shows opposite definitions; this page is one of them. This one claims that it is the same as powdered sugar. The other result claims that powdered sugar is not as fine nor sweet as confectioner's sugar.

Might be worth a usage note if the distinction can be provided with durable citations, but both the websites of the makers of Domino Sugar and of Dixie Crystals, use powdered sugar and confectioners sugar interchangeably so without cites, Im reluctant to make a change myself. — Carolina wren discussió 00:08, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
