English too?

The 1977 song Hotel California contains this word: "On a dark desert highway / Cool wind in my hair / Warm smell of colitas / Rising up through the air". Probably refers to the plant. I can also find some uses in English text in Google Books to refer to something like a ponytail in the hair. Equinox ◑ 23:55, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
