Definitions

[edit]

We have 12 definitions. They aren't really all that distinct, I mean click, clack, snap these are essentially synonyms in this sense. I'll have a go - don't hesitate to modify is after I've finished. Mglovesfun (talk) 23:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I reverted most of your changes. We do need separate definitions for these. We have many words in English for claquer (definition from here is "Produire un bruit sec et éclatant "), it depends on what is doing the claquement. I'll quote from that page "Un fouet, une porte, un drapeau, un volet, des coups de feu claquent" (a whip, a door, a flag, a shutter, gunshots "claquent"). And in English we talk of the crack of a whip, slam of a door, rattle of gunfire etc. As for the definition about the soles on the shoes, I'm stumped for an English equivalent. --Rising Sun talk? 17:29, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
