[edit]I’ve added the Trinidadian term here, with a link to a mention in a recipe as a reference. The YouTube video called ‘Trini vs Americans 😂’ by Uniquelyy bless Empress (which I can’t post due to WT’s spam filter) also refers to the phenomenon of Trinis calling spring onions ‘chives’.
