Caisean

“The ‘caisean’ or ‘caisean-uchd,’ is a strip of skin from the breast of a sheep killed at Christmas or New Year’s. It is tied to a stick and set alight. (Carmina Gadelica, Vol. I, p. 150) and Vol. II, p. 243.”
