[edit]Mark Twain used "... we are not suns, but only candles, and any bummer can blow us out." If misfortune, ill wind is meant, fine. But the definitions online so not seem to fit the context very snugly. Source is "The Memorable Assassination," in which the Austrian Empress is killed by a "madman."
