Do we need to add something about how this is (very!) commonly misused in place of the verb breathe? I've even seen it in books, which would argue that the editing staff has passed it. Since breathe is a word used quite often in my field of expertise, I run into it a lot. Did I mention that it drives me nuts? --Catseyes818 11:58, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't recall seeing that error, myself. (But now I'll probably start noticing it!) Such information belongs in a ===Usage notes=== section, indicating that it should not be confused with the verb breathe. --Connel MacKenzie 18:02, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I added it as a misspelling because Ive seen it a lot too, but perhaps Usage notes would be better. Soap 23:52, 10 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hebrew

[edit]

I changed the Hebrew translation of "breath" from "נפש" (nefesh - "soul") to "נשימה" (neshima - "breath"). Liso 16:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
