The terms "Binoscope" and "Binocular Telescope" are usually classified as meaning one of the same even though a certain percentage of the population familiar with astronomy and telescopes will often classify a "Binoscope" as two identical optical telescopes with the same lenses or mirrors and focal ratios. For example: Two identical Newtonian, cassegrain (mirrors) or refractor (lenses) telescopes that are aligned optically on the same object and secured mechanically together on either an alt-azimuth or equatorial mount. In reality...both terms have the same meaning...and more-often-than-not are called "Binoscopes".
