Cebuano entry

@Carl Francis The word "bilangguan" is a Cebuano word, and I can provide many, many citations, aside from the word being used in the Cebuano Bible, I also have many online Cebuano news articles that use this word:

A common misspelling. In print does not mean correct. The word is spelled the same as the Hiligaynon word. Wolff's dictionary and the Cebuano bible is obsolete. There is already a standard set. Your ignorance of the language and entries you create is proliferating misspelling.

@Carl Francis: I see you concern. Well, if the correct spelling is really "bilanggoan", instead of "bilangguan", the main entry would be transferred to "bilanggoan", while there would be an alternative form entry in "bilangguan". However, could you provide resources saying that "bilanggoan" is the "correct spelling"? You need a language regulator to do that, I think. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 08:33, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

@Carl Francis: No need to be hostile. I think we agree that we want Wiktionary to be accurate. And I see your point, that it seems that the spelling "bilanggoan" is more common than "bilangguan". That's why I moved the entry. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 08:46, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

How is a misspelling an alternative entry? That is just detrimental to the standards. If I need to provide a source for every entry here, then we might as well delete 3/4 of the entries here. That is just against the Wiktionary's aim. Go ahead, do as you wish. We might as well create an alternative entry for every Cebuano word. So much for making Wiktionary accurate.

@Carl Francis: You have to understand that devoid of a regulatory body, there is no "wrong spelling", but only a "prevailing spelling". Even if you look at Tagalog dictionaries, it would list various alternative spellings for some words.
