Is a form of beat necessary in the cites?
Cites with one's and forms of beat are often quotes from Isaiah. DCDuring (talk) 23:33, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
My personal opinion is that this metaphor is readily understood from the meanings of its components and should not be a headword in a dictionary. Swords to ploughshares on Wikipedia.Wikipedia calls it a "concept". But two OneLook dictionaries, besides Wiktionary, have such a headword: Cambridge Advanced Learner's: 'beat/turn swords into ploughshares' and MWOnline: 'beat/turn swords into plowshares'.
