Basque etymology

An IP user with a questionable track-record almost completely rewrote the etymology, claiming it to "probably" be related to a Basque word meaning the same thing, or a similar Old Dutch word without a linked page, of which the provided linked Dutch etymology contradicts. The Basque theory looks reasonable, but I was wondering if there's any sources for it, and especially for the Old Dutch comparison? -/ut͡ʃxʎørnɛja ☭/ ^{(탁ᷞ, кон-, ឯឌឹត្ស, 𐎛𐎓𐎄𐎛𐎚𐎒)}. 02:20, 5 March 2019 (UTC).
