Rfd-redundant "A visitor or participant of an event.". Tagged but not listed (diff). --Fytcha (talk) 04:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- I think sense 2 can be merged with sense 1, not forgetting the quotation. I did add a quote to sense 1 a few months ago. DonnanZ (talk) 10:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- I agree it is now redundant. The formulation of the current sense 1 was introduced later than the current sense 2, creating a bogus distinction. In my understanding of the term attendance, being in the audience of an event implies that one is in attendance at the event, so I think the definition can be simplified to “Someone who is in attendance at an event.” --Lambiam 10:52, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- Good find, so merge or delete as it is covered by the first. Fay Freak (talk) 04:38, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- Deleted/merged as obviously redundant. - -sche (discuss) 01:49, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
