Can this word be attested with the meaning “one who builds an ark”? The Guardian’s online quick crossword № 13,883 (from Thursday the 6th of November in 2014) gives, for 20-across, the clue “Biblical arkwright (4)”, to which the answer is Noah; legend has it that the guy built a floating menagerie, commonly called an ark. ‛Twould be cool to add it, but the ~½ million hits for the surname Arkwright kinda drown (geddit?) out any common-noun uses. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 10:21, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
