Arads vs. Ard

[edit]

The Mongolian word is ard (ард) and means "people" (Бугд Найрамдах Монгол Ард Улс = w:People's Republic of Mongolia).

The german "Araten" and the english "Arads" are normally used to mean "nomadic herders". The only source I've seen that confuses the original and derived words and their meanings is the Library of Congress Glossary on Mongolia, which incidentally is the reference for this entry here. --w:User:Latebird 10:50, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Has been processed into arad, Arate, and ард. I'm not familiar with the formal procedures here, so I won't submit this one for deletion myself. --172.158.108.106 11:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I moved it from Transwiki:Arads to arads (English, plural of arad), which we still needed. Goldenrowley 18:06, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
