arabesque can also be an adjective, in which it means: elaborately designed
Arabesque in literature
[edit]I've seen several English teachers use the word arabesque as some sort of genre in literature. Different teachers seem to have different definitions of what it really means, but they often compare it to grotesque. If this is a real usage of the word, we should probably add it. 174.24.73.109 02:21, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
