According to Bill Bryson's "Dictionary of Troublesome Words", androgenous means "male offspring", while androgynous refers to a person posessing characteristics of both sexes. Wiktionary says they're both the same...both sexes. Which is it?

Chambers agrees with Bryson: "having only male offspring", not the same as androgynous. Equinox 01:29, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
