Rfv-sense: each sense. The original contributor defined it as:

1. (music) a tempo which should mean to play a little slower than its diminutive andante but is sometimes used as if meaning to play a little faster

and I don't know what to make of that. "Should" in what sense? "As if" in what sense? (This may actually be better addressed with references than with quotations.)

Striking: Stephen G. Brown (talk • contribs) de-tagged this last March, changing it to a single sense "(music) A tempo that is slighty faster than andante but slower than moderato." —Ruakh_TALK 23:44, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Chambers 1908 does give two conflicting definitions like the above: "adj. of a movement somewhat slower than andante, but sometimes meaning 'with less of andante' = somewhat quicker." Equinox ◑ 14:56, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
