- Hard to find, and definitely obsolete. Perhaps mostly mentions rather than uses, e.g. 1726, Richard Bradley, A general treatise of husbandry & gardening: "Columella mentions the Amygdalæ, and the Nuces Graecæ, as different Nuts; but however this be, the Almond is now called by the Arabians Jauz, Kauz, and Lauzi, the Italians Mandole, the Spaniards Almendres […] " Equinox ◑ 15:15, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
