Latin has incorrect pronunciation.

Not according to w:Latin spelling and pronunciation, but I have removed the enPR pronunciation, since it is confusing and inappropriate to use that system for Latin. --EncycloPetey 15:06, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Don't know if you were referring to the sound file, but that seems wrong as well. The ending with the r almost has a French like sound. Is this the right file? Word dewd544 00:19, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Stress indication welcomed! Suggest using ⟨ˈ⟩ and ⟨ˌ⟩.

I would like to thank the one(s) that have added, here and with other Italian verbs, forms indicating stressed syllable(s)! This is the first place where I have encountered such forms. (I have got a textbook and a dictionary both of which for most words, including verb forms, do not show stress.)

Unfortunately, since the grave accent (as well as the acute accent) is used in Italian standard orthography, the accented forms in the Wiktionary give rise to the question which of the grave accents are orthographic and which are not.

For that reason I would suggest another means of stress indication, and the standard IPA symbols immediately spring to mind: ⟨ˈ⟩ for primary and ⟨ˌ⟩ for secondary stress.Redav (talk) 16:02, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
