Etymology

This entry doesn't make clear whether the English term is derived from the French or not. If it isn't, it shouldn't use the {{etyl}} template there. --Yair rand (talk) 10:34, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

I think the wording is fairly clear, but you're right that etyl is completely inappropriate, and I have removed it. I'm not sure where the idea of using etyl as a shortcut to create a language for any reason in an etymology came from, but I don't like it, and I've noticed it a lot. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 22:12, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
