Discussion from Wiktionary:Requests for cleanup
[edit]English.
An IP complained about this Usage notes section in Feedback. Copied verbatim from Webster 1913 with minimal editing in the 20 years since, and full of verbiage like:
- "Ability has reference to the active exercise of our faculties. It implies not only native vigor of mind, but that ease and promptitude of execution which arise from mental training. "

- I suppose my question is whether it is useful to distinguish “ability” from “capacity”, which is what the usage note is driving at. I’m not sure it’s that useful. — Sgconlaw (talk) 18:13, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
