I'm not even entirely sure how the English term is any idiomatic (can someone enlighten me on this?), but the German translation definitely is not, it's just abgeschirmt + Kabel -- Liliana • 12:50, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Nothing wrong with the translation, and screened cable could do with a translations section. I revised the heading so it links to abgeschirmt. Funnily enough I have just been looking at the Norwegian term. Donnanz (talk) 13:31, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

No, although coaxial cable tends to be self-shielding (since one of the conductors runs around the outside). You can also get other types of cable which aren't coaxial but which include a shield around the outside (these are required for network cables in sensitive installations where people could read the electrical fields leaking out, for instance).
