Wikisaurus sounds like a dinosaur

[edit]

New name anyone?

Who doesn't like dinosaurs? — LlywelynII 04:07, 13 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
I quite like the name myself. 131.203.249.158 20:47, 12 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Redirect

[edit]

There needs to be content here or, at minimum, a redirect. It's obvious that the root of Wikisaurus:toilet should be [[Wikisaurus]] and Wiktionary:Wikisaurus is an utterly bizarre kludge.

If the objection is that this is an entry namespace, then create an article on the proper noun but fer chrissakes stop deleting useful information. — LlywelynII 04:07, 13 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

RFD discussion: November 2017–February 2018

[edit]

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

It is questionable whether this mainspace to Wikisaurus redirect should have been created. Now that the project is called Thesaurus, it should be deleted anyway. --Dan Polansky (talk) 10:51, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Keep as redirect to Thesaurus for benefit of those not familiar with the change who may remember Wikisaurus. DCDuring (talk) 05:44, 20 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Delete. This is a classic bad redirect — though we may not have an entry now, we could in the future, and there are a couple citations (though for what seem to be different senses) in durably archived media already. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:11, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Was deleted before (en.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=Wikisaurus) and the reason "Bad redirection" should still apply. It shouldn't be too hard to type WT:Wikisaurus, WT:WS, WT:Thesaurus, *WT:TS? -84.161.59.236 15:38, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
It isn't difficult to TYPE; it's difficult to KNOW what to type the first time. DCDuring (talk) 18:44, 25 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Either one knows the prefix "WT:" or "Wiktionary:", in which case it should be relatively easy to find WT:WS etc., or one doesn't know the prefix, in which case by the argument of finding the relevant WT page, the entries delete, deletion, remove too should point to WT:RFD, the entries verify, verification, attest, attestation to WT:RFV and so on. -84.161.2.104 05:32, 27 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
