Alternative Form or Synonym?

@RcAlex36 Hey- thanks again for your important work on these English language loan words and in other areas- great job! Can I ask: what was the basis for calling Tsungming a synonym here [1] and then calling Tsungming a dated form here [2]? Is this a dated synonym or a dated alternative form? @Geographyinitiative: I now think Tsungming is borrowed from some Wu dialect because Postal ts- typically corresponds to Hanyu Pinyin j- or q- and not zh- or ch-. RcAlex36 (talk) 06:55, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
